Frequently asked questions

Never worked with a financial coach before? Start here.

  • Financial coaching helps you understand your relationship with money, build better habits, and create a clear plan for your finances. It's not the same as regulated financial advice - I won't tell you which products to buy or recommend specific investments. What I will do is help you feel confident, in control, and clear on what you want your money to do for you.

  • All sorts. Common reasons include wanting to get on top of spending, saving for something specific, navigating a big life change (new job, buying a house, career change, divorce), or simply wanting a clearer picture of where they stand financially.

  • Absolutely. Plenty of clients come to me not because something has gone wrong, but because they want to be more intentional about how they manage their money and plan for the future.

  • No. Financial coaching isn't just for high earners - it's for anyone who wants to feel more in control of their money, wherever they're starting from.

  • Financial coaching sits alongside both - not instead of either.

An accountant handles your compliance: tax returns, year-end accounts, bookkeeping.

A financial adviser gives regulated product advice: investments, pensions, protection.

I help you understand your numbers, make better day-to-day financial decisions, and build a clearer picture of where you stand.

Many clients work with all three.

  • Yes. Couples coaching is one of my specialisms. Money is one of the most common sources of tension in relationships, and having a structured, neutral space to work through it together can make a real difference.

  • Business coaching focuses on your business finances: planning, cash flow, profitability, and helping you build systems that give you visibility and control. We can also look at how your business and personal finances interact, which is often where things get complicated for sole traders and small business owners.

  • Sessions are usually held online via video call, which means we can work together wherever you are in the UK.
